Terms & Conditions

The Wooden Board

By placing an order with The Wooden Board, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Orders & Custom Work

All pieces are handcrafted and made to order. Due to the custom nature of our work, all orders are considered final sale once confirmed.

We encourage customers to review all details carefully before placing an order, including dimensions, design, finishes, and any custom requests. The Wooden Board is not responsible for misunderstandings if final specifications are not clearly communicated in writing.

2. Deposits & Payments

A deposit is required to secure your order and production spot.

Deposits are non-refundable

Under certain circumstances, and with approval, deposits may be transferred to a store credit

Remaining balances are due upon completion and prior to pickup or delivery

Failure to complete payment may result in delays or storage fees.

3. Cancellations & Changes

Because each piece is built specifically for you:

Orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once production has started

Changes may not be possible after approval and may result in additional charges or delays

4. Product Variations

All of our furniture is made from real wood. Variations are normal and expected.

This includes:

Wood grain patterns

Knots and natural markings

Color and stain absorption differences

Slight variations in dimensions (within standard tolerance)

These are not considered defects, but part of the character of solid wood furniture.

5. Finishes & Color Disclaimer

Colors may appear different depending on lighting, surroundings, and wood grain.

While we do our best to match selected finishes, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

6. Pickup & Delivery

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all items will fit through doorways, hallways, staircases, and into the intended space.

The Wooden Board is not responsible for:

Items that do not fit into the home or space

Damage during customer-arranged transport

Damage after delivery or pickup

Once items are picked up or delivered, they are considered accepted in good condition.

7. Use & Liability

Our furniture is built to be strong and long-lasting when used as intended.

However:

The Wooden Board is not responsible for any injury, damage, or misuse of our products

Customers assume all responsibility for proper use, placement, and supervision (especially with children)

8. Warranty & Care

We stand behind the quality of our work. If there are concerns related to craftsmanship, please contact us.

Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper care, or environmental factors (humidity, temperature, etc.) are not covered.

9. Lead Times

Estimated timelines are provided as a guideline only.

Due to the custom nature of our work, delays may occur. We will communicate any significant changes as they arise.

10. Communication

All order details should be confirmed in writing to ensure accuracy.

We do not take responsibility for miscommunication if order details are not documented.

11. Agreement

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
